Where's Your Nature Valley?

2006 Restoration Project
Nature Valley’s commitment to America’s trails continued and grew in 2006, when $175,000 was donated. The money was used to send college and high school volunteers, members of the Student Conservation Association, into five of America’s national parks to help make them even more enjoyable. Read more about each restoration and see photos taken by the volunteers in each section below.

In Shenandoah National Park, the Lower Hawksbill Trail is a popular day-use trail serving 300-600 hikers a week in hiking season. The SCA crew:
  • Restored parts of the trail that had been damaged in a flood
  • Reconstructed 2,500 feet of tread and water control structures
