Where's Your Nature Valley?

2006 Restoration Project
Nature Valley’s commitment to America’s trails continued and grew in 2006, when $175,000 was donated. The money was used to send college and high school volunteers, members of the Student Conservation Association, into five of America’s national parks to help make them even more enjoyable. Read more about each restoration and see photos taken by the volunteers in each section below.

The Nature Valley SCA crew performed over 1,000 hours of vital trail maintenance amid the peaks of Grand Teton, helping make a safe walking surface for over 1,200 visitors per month. The crew:
  • Cleared drains, rebuilt water checks and causeways
  • Out-sloped parts of the trail to improve drainage
  • Repaired a log causeway, fence and bridge
  • Covered exposed rocks and tree roots
