Where's Your Nature Valley?

2005 Restoration Project
In 2005, Nature Valley donated $150,000 to the National Parks Foundation to send members of the Student Conservation Association into America’s national parks to perform a variety of tasks towards restoring trails and improving the appearance and amenities in four national parks. Read more about each restoration and see photos taken by the volunteers in each section below.

In the national capital, an SCA crew worked on diverse projects in the National Capital Parks – East, which includes historic sites, recreation areas, and natural features. The crew:
  • Pruned, brushed 2,000 feet of overgrown trails
  • Graded 3,200 feet of trail
  • Constructed or maintained 50+ drainage structures
