Where's Your Nature Valley?

2005 Restoration Project
In 2005, Nature Valley donated $150,000 to the National Parks Foundation to send members of the Student Conservation Association into America’s national parks to perform a variety of tasks towards restoring trails and improving the appearance and amenities in four national parks. Read more about each restoration and see photos taken by the volunteers in each section below.
The SCA volunteers helped maintain the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, with work that included eradicating unauthorized trails, clearing blowdowns and laying gravel. The crew also:
  • Brushed 2.9 miles of trail
  • Constructed/cleared 20+ drainage structures
  • Rehabbed 12+ waterbars
  • Maintained 15+ rock walls, steps and/or crib walls
